Tormenta Rampaging Run (Update 8), Several Building Refurbishments, El Aserradero Refurbishment
El Aserradero Flume 1
El Aserradero Flume 1 is undergoing an extensive refurbishment project. The ride’s final drop and runout have been repainted.
Fencing around the ride has been replaced and overgrown foliage has been cleared.
Landscaping is also undergoing a serious refresh around El Aserradero.
Building Projects
Court House Stage is undergoing renovations with new wooden siding and fresh paint.
Cinnabon is also receiving the same treatment as Court House Stage with fresh wood and paint.
Sugar Shack’s facade has been completely replaced, along with new signage.
A former retail building (hasn’t been used in several seasons) next to Boot Scootin’ has been transformed and updated.
Bubba’s Hot Dogs is also sporting a completely renovated exterior.
The Western Arcade building’s renovation is in progress. This structure has been closed to the public for multiple seasons.
A look at the building’s second story shows the level of neglect being reversed.
The gazebo near Pirates of Speelunker Cave, which was once a part of the former Lone Star Theatre, is undergoing major renovations.
Texas Gifts is part of the widespread exterior renovations, even seeing a rebuild of its second level balcony.
The structure on top of Runaway Mine Train’s final drop has been remodeled, showing off a new roof.
Though a bit difficult to see from the main pathway, the “hotel and saloon” building near the end of Runaway Mine Train’s layout has been fully restored.
Gotham City Stage has been fully removed with the only hints of its existence being a concrete pad and seating shade structure.
Majestic Theatre’s neon is functional again with more refreshes expected to take place.
The Johnson Creek Schoolhouse has also received new siding and fresh paint.
Tormenta Rampaging Run
Tormenta Rampaging Run’s first drop is nearly complete, soon connecting to the lift hill.
The bottom of Tormenta’s first drop has been constructed, pointing towards the park’s entrance.
This segment of track, staged for installation, will “dangle” riders over the first drop’s edge.
Tormenta Rampaging Run is expected to be topped off within the next week or two.
