Amusement Today has been presenting the Golden Ticket Awards since 1998, acknowledging amusement industry achievements in various categories. The awards are handed out based on surveys given to experienced and well-traveled amusement park enthusiasts from around the world. In 2019, Amusement Today began including ride suppliers, manufacturers and industry journalists in the panel of voters. The Golden Ticket Awards have been featured on the Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel.

The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards are the most prestigious professional honors awarded, marking achievements of excellence throughout the global attractions industry. The awards recognize amusement parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, family entertainment centers (FECs), and attractions in excellence in categories including food and beverage, games and retail, human resources, live entertainment, marketing and new products.
