Tormenta Perimeter Work

The construction area around Tormenta Rampaging Run’s structure is being buttoned up with new asphalt.

The park’s large perimeter fencing has also been reinstalled around Tormenta Rampaging Run.

Once complete, additional pathways from the parking lot to Six Flags’ front gate will be restored.

Spain & Tormenta’s Entrance Area

Tormenta’s entrance portal now has logo signage and sconces. Crews continue sculpting the new Spain entry archway that will also debut.

Tormenta Rampaging Run’s test cycles continue, this time with two trains instead of one. Outside of the park, crews work on fencing and asphalt now that the ride structure is complete. Due to the ride’s location, many of the entryway paths and a portion of parking lot must be reconstructed. Inside the park, Tormenta Rampaging Run theming is coming to life with entrance portal signage and continued work on the Spain archway.

Tormenta Rampaging Run has officially entered its testing phase! The record-breaking dive coaster will undergo several weeks of testing before opening to the public. In the meantime, crews work on restoring park entry pathways and a nearby parking lot. Spain’s transformation continues with the recreation of its entrance arch. Beyond that, Tormenta Rampaging Run’s entrance portal is slowly coming to life.

The finishing stages of Tormenta Rampaging Run’s construction have begun. The ride structure is complete, all major construction equipment has moved out and trains are installed on the track. Aesthetics in the refreshed Spain area are also under way, including the build of its new entrance portal.

Track work is complete for Six Flags Over Texas’ newest coaster, Tormenta Rampaging Run. Detail work begins with electrical, transfer shed and station construction. Ground work is under way for the new Cocina Abuela restaurant, which will open next to the new coaster. Other park projects and building improvements that have carried over from the off-season are also still in progress.

Tormenta Rampaging Run’s tallest elements are complete. Crews are now constructing the remainder of track with smaller cranes. The mid-course brake run and its drop are complete. During the offseason, Six Flags Over Texas worked on several projects, including Star Mall enhancements and Mr. Freeze’s queue line.

On February 5, crews completed construction on the world’s tallest roller coaster vertical loop, an 18-story, 179-foot steel structure that now dominates the Dallas–Fort Worth skyline. This is another record-breaking milestone for Tormenta Rampaging Run, following its topping off ceremony and the completion of its Immelmann inversion.
