Tormenta Rampaging Run (Update 14)

The finishing stages of Tormenta Rampaging Run’s construction have begun. The ride structure is complete, all major construction equipment has moved out and trains are installed on the track. Aesthetics in the refreshed Spain area are also under way, including the build of its new entrance portal.

Tormenta Rampaging Run (Update 13), Cocina Abuela, Other Park Projects

Track work is complete for Six Flags Over Texas’ newest coaster, Tormenta Rampaging Run. Detail work begins with electrical, transfer shed and station construction. Ground work is under way for the new Cocina Abuela restaurant, which will open next to the new coaster. Other park projects and building improvements that have carried over from the off-season are also still in progress.

Tormenta Rampaging Run (Update 12), Mr. Freeze Queue Upgrades, Offseason Park Projects

Tormenta Rampaging Run’s tallest elements are complete. Crews are now constructing the remainder of track with smaller cranes. The mid-course brake run and its drop are complete. During the offseason, Six Flags Over Texas worked on several projects, including Star Mall enhancements and Mr. Freeze’s queue line.

Tormenta Rampaging Run (Update 9)

The first of multiple milestones has been reached as Tormenta Rampaging Run has been officially topped off. The record-breaking coaster’s highest point has been reached. When Tormenta Rampaging Run debuts in 2026, it will be the world’s tallest dive coaster and the tallest roller coaster in Texas.
