On February 5, crews completed construction on the world’s tallest roller coaster vertical loop, an 18-story, 179-foot steel structure that now dominates the Dallas–Fort Worth skyline. This is another record-breaking milestone for Tormenta Rampaging Run, following its topping off ceremony and the completion of its Immelmann inversion.

Another record-breaking milestone is reached on Tormenta Rampaging Run, Six Flags Over Texas’ newest roller coaster. Standing 218 feet tall, Tormenta’s Immelmann roll is the tallest element of its kind in the world. The Immelmann roll was the next tallest element of the coaster after the lift hill and first drop.

The first of multiple milestones has been reached as Tormenta Rampaging Run has been officially topped off. The record-breaking coaster’s highest point has been reached. When Tormenta Rampaging Run debuts in 2026, it will be the world’s tallest dive coaster and the tallest roller coaster in Texas.

Staggering levels of refurbishment continue around Six Flags Over Texas as over a dozen dining, ride and shopping structures have been remodeled. Extensive refurbishment continues on El Aserradero flume one with fresh paint and landscaping beautification. Tormenta Rampaging Run construction moves along as crews are close to topping out the first drop.

Tormenta Rampaging Run’s lift hill has gone vertical with approximately 190 feet already installed. The remaining 309 feet is scheduled to go up shortly. Six Flags Over Texas also unveiled the first train for Tormenta Rampaging Run, featuring eight-across seating, ride branding and piercing bull eyes.

Track installation for Tormenta Rampaging Run has begun with the final brake run, station and the turn to the lift hill. A giant crane is also being constructed to erect the taller ride segments. Quick work was made on Conquistador as the retired ride has been demolished. Other beautification projects continue around the park, including several changes to dining and shopping locations.
