Dive Coaster Construction Begins, Dining Refreshes, Summer Weekday Operations Updates

Visible construction is under way on Six Flags Over Texas' 2026 giga dive coaster addition as the parking lot is prepped for footers. Additional track and support pieces have also arrived. New refill stations, the re-debut of All American Cafe and other refreshes highlight our visit. Last year, our summer weekday visit to the park left a lot to be desired. This year, however, we were pleasantly surprised by our experiences.

Giga Dive Construction Begins

Work is moving along on the park’s yet-to-be-named giga dive roller coaster. Set to open in the Spain section for 2026, crews have begun prepping various areas for the ride’s footers. Additional track pieces have also arrived to the park. Across the street from the parking lot, one piece of track teases the upcoming addition. Footers will take time to cure, so vertical construction isn’t likely for the near future. Visit our Construction Updates page for a more in-depth look.

All American Cafe Reopens, New Refresh Stations Debut

All American Cafe is back and better than ever with a refreshed serving line and kitchen. Though the new menu offerings aren’t particularly unique, the quality has seen a major upgrade. Additional sides, such as fried brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese, have been introduced. The restaurant’s indoor seating area is also still in tact. All American Cafe’s refresh is similar to JB’s Smokehouse BBQ with efficiency and food quality being the primary objectives.

Two more refresh stations for drink refills have opened in the park’s USA section. One of these refresh stations, built from the ground up, is located near the exit to Aquaman: Power Wave. The second location is nestled near the park’s main entrance by Six Flags Universe. These two locations join E.G. Sugarwater’s recent remodel.

Additional Park Projects & Summer Views

Six Flags Over Texas continues to move along on other projects. Texas Arena now has a dark gray paint scheme while keeping the large Texas Flag facades. Though an interesting choice, the structure no longer looks abandoned and rotted. Texas SkyScreamer sees cosmetic improvement as star emblems return to the base of its tower. These have been gone for a while, but the new versions feature more detail and the ride’s logo.

Landscaping has taken charge this summer at Six Flags Over Texas. the Silver Star Mall is vibrant and clean with hanging planters and additional flower beds. Other flowers can be found throughout the park, especially in Texas, Boomtown and throughout the USA section.
