JB's Smokehouse BBQ is one of the park's larger indoor restaurants. Located in Old South near Runaway Mountain, the location features both indoor and outdoor seating options, along with several dining pass options.
When Six Flags Over Texas opened in 1961, this restaurant was known as Naler’s Plantation House and served up fried chicken. With the opening of Runaway Mountain 1996, this restaurant was transformed into Gator McGee’s Mountain Grill. Tied into the theme of the new coaster, Gator McGee could also be heard during Runaway Mountain’s spiels.
2025 ushered in a substantial remodel to JB’s kitchen and serving line, unveiling new menu offerings.
