Decades Worth of Improvements Transforming Six Flags Over Texas, Tormenta First Drop Almost Complete

Six Flags Over Texas enhancements continue at a staggering rate, creating transformations that would typically play out over a couple decades. Several buildings have been remodeled, including most facades in Texas and along Smith Street. Other projects, such as the El Aserradero refresh, new dining and shopping signage and spruced up landscaping, are also in progress. Tormenta Rampaging Run construction moves forward as the first drop has nearly been topped off, marking the coaster's tallest point.

2025 marks the 40th anniversary of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas. This year's event features Merry Main Street, which is the centralized hub to meet Santa Claus, decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus and enjoy tons of snow falling all around. Entertainment favorites, such as Holly Jolly Trolley, return, while Tinker's Toy Factory debuts in Southern Palace Theatre. The anniversary celebration also features millions of Christmas lights, thousands of new decor pieces and plenty of holiday treats.
