Six Flags Over Texas Releases 2026 Operating Calendar and Daily Tickets Through Labor Day
Tormenta Rampaging Run highlights the park’s 65th anniversary
Park to close Jan. 5-Feb. 27 in preparation for 2026 season and 65th anniversary celebrations
ARLINGTON, Tex. — Dec. 9, 2025 – Today, Six Flags Over Texas released its 2026 operating calendar and good any day tickets with daily tickets through Labor Day available starting Dec. 10. The park, currently in full swing of its beloved winter event Holiday in the Park, will take a seasonal break, closing Jan. 5 through Feb. 27. During this period, the park will kick off preparations for the 2026 season and its highly anticipated 65th anniversary milestone. Highlights for next year’s celebration include new entertainment, food and beverage items, attractions enhancements, park-wide beautification programs, and of course, the previously announced opening of the record-breaking giga dive coaster Tormenta Rampaging Run and new restaurant, Cocina Abuela. Six Flags Over Texas will reopen Saturday, Feb. 28. A full list of events, dates and park updates will be released early next year.

Six Flags Over Texas 65th Anniversary
When Six Flags Over Texas opened on Aug. 1, 1961, it marked a new form in family entertainment and set a precedent for future parks. The 65th commemoration will feature exclusive previews, special events, giveaways and many surprises making it a historic celebration worthy of the first Six Flags’ park that started it all.

Gold memberships start as low as $7.25 per month (after $20 initiation fee) and include unlimited visits to Six Flags Over Texas for the remainder of this year and all of 2026, as well as Hurricane Harbor Arlington, free general parking, merchandise and food discounts and more.
There is still time to enjoy Six Flags Over Texas this season during the 40th anniversary of Holiday in the Park event, which runs select nights now through Dec. 31. The park will also be open for regular operations Jan. 1-4.
For those that purchase a platinum membership or season pass, or previously purchased the MVP pass this fall, Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio will remain open throughout January and February.
