A Second Kiddie Coaster

Wile E. Coyote’s Grand Canyon Blaster was added to Six Flags Over Texas during the park’s 40th anniversary season. Opening on March 10, 2001, the attraction was the first children’s roller coaster addition since Mini Mine Train in 1969. 2001 also marked the season of a major expansion and remodel of the children’s area. Formerly known as Looney Tunes Land, the area was renamed Looney Tunes USA. Wile E. Coyote’s Grand Canyon Blaster wasn’t the only new attraction to be added for the park’s 40th anniversary. Other children’s additions included Taz’s New York Adventure, Daffy Duck’s Capitol Tours, Yosemite Sam’s Texas Tea Cups, Route 66 Bumper Cars and Sylvester & Tweety’s State Fairis Wheel.
