Holiday in the Park
November 23 to December 31, 2025
Holiday in the Park returns to Six Flags Over Texas on select dates from November 23 to December 31. The festive end-of-year event features seven new family-friendly entertainment offerings, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday overlays on several park attractions and Christmas lights throughout the park. 2025 highlights the return of Broadway-style entertainment to the Southern Palace Theatre with the debut of Tinker’s Toy Factory and thousands of new holiday decorations throughout the park.
Holiday in the Park originated during the 1985 season at Six Flags Over Texas and has been a park staple ever since. The event has expanded over the years to include thousands of Christmas lights, specialized foods, live entertainment and many other family-friendly activities.
In 1988, AstroWorld in Houston was the second park to introduce the Holiday in the Park concept, followed by Six Flags Over Georgia in 1989. Today, the festive event takes place at nearly a dozen Six Flags parks across the chain.
Some iconic pieces of Holiday in the Park have unfortunately met their demise, including the Texas Chute Out Christmas tree lined with red string lights and a star on top, the Parade of Trees, the impressive Lionel Holiday Model Train Display and Frosty Snow Hill. Unforgettable entertainment, such as Best Time of the Year, is fondly remembered by guests. The park’s 2021 production of Christmas at the Southern Palace marked the first time Six Flags Over Texas had been awarded “Best New Show” by Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards.
