Six Flags Debuts Yet Another New Season Pass Tier Offering, Eliminates New Membership Purchases
Yesterday, Six Flags Over Texas introduced a new three-tier season pass offering. While not every Six Flags park has adopted this concept, we should expect to see these offerings go chain-wide before spring. Now that memberships are no longer for purchase, we explain what current members can expect and how they can learn more about the new Legacy Member program.
First Event of 2022 Canceled, Park President Fired, Other Park Updates
Six Flags and their new CEO, Selim Bassoul, are undergoing several corporate changes and attempts at restructuring. This has affected Six Flags Over Texas as the Fire & Ice Winter Festival has been canceled and the park's president, Ron McKenzie, was relieved of his position. Front Gate & Texas Arena Demolition, Speelunker Cave, Aquaman Updates

Holiday in the Park is in full swing at Six Flags Over Texas. This year's holiday event features a slate of completely new entertainment offerings, an all-new Christmas tree, specialty food and decor, the Nochebuena overlay at Casa Magnetica and more.
Aquaman Turntable Progress, Mr. Freeze Paint Job, More Building Improvements
Work has picked up on Aquaman: Power Wave and its addition of a turntable and crews continue to prep the all-new Pirates of Speelunker Cave dark ride. The new Mr. Freeze paint job has also progressed, along with the new parking lot and several building refurbishments, especially in the park's Old South section.

Happy 60th Birthday to Six Flags Over Texas, the Original Six Flags Park
Six Flags Over Texas officially turns 60 years old on August 5, 2021! The park was designed to depict the six sovereigns that had ruled over Texas throughout time, which were Modern (USA), Texas, Confederacy, Mexico, Spain and France.
Six Flags Over Texas Announces 'Pirates of Speelunker Cave' Ride
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, celebrated its 60th anniversary today by announcing that an all-new ride experience will make its debut for the 2022 season. Pirates of Speelunker Cave, is a state-of-the-art attraction that will place guests squarely in the middle of a pirate treasure hunt thwarted by resident Speelunkers.

The 60th birthday of Six Flags Over Texas is soon upon us! Join us for a look at the 60th Anniversary Museum now open in the Crazy Horse Saloon. Operating through August 8, the museum takes guests back in time with a large display of several historical artifacts.
Coasting for Kids 2021 Fundraiser, Plus Fright Fest Haunted House Tour
Join us as we participate in the Coasting for Kids 2021 fundraiser at Six Flags Over Texas. This year we were able to raise over $20,000 for the Give Kids the World Village! They are a nonprofit resort that provides cost-free vacations for critically ill children and their families.
